Sewingafriendship.com is a kid friendly website featuring the work of the children's book author and illustrator Natalie Tinti. Since Natalie is herself a child, she writes exciting, relatable stories that fully engage young readers.

Her books about friendship teach children the importance of inviting people who seem "different" into their lives. Young readers will be so busy enjoying Natalie's whimsical illustrations and the characters' fun adventures; they might not realize they're also learning important lessons that will last them a lifetime. Parents are encouraged to use these books to talk with their kids about friendships and "fitting in."

Natalie hopes she can play an important role in helping children see that differences in others are actually attractive. "If more kids would learn to think that way," says Natalie, "we'd have far less bullies in our schools and less children who feel alone, rejected and unloved."

This is Natalie's vision. Enjoy!

Young Author & Illustrator Natalie Tinti

Natalie Tinti is a twelve year old girl from Temecula, California and is currently in the sixth grade at Temecula Middle School.  Her amazing innate writing talent showed through in her first grade essays and continues to be her unique way to express herself.  She also demonstrated her remarkable artistic ability at a very young age and won first place in a local drawing contest when she was just five years old.

Natalie decided to write the popular kids' book, Sewing a Friendship, because she noticed several children at her school who appeared to have trouble making friends. Inspired by her school's "Kindness is Cool" program that teaches kids to be nice to one another, Natalie conceived the idea of a group of girlfriends befriending an antagonistic loner.  Once the loner feels liked by the other girls, she becomes a good friend.

A local Barnes & Noble agreed to sell Sewing a Friendship and Natalie made several public appearances at this venue, which fueled sales. Natalie decided to continue the characters' adventures with Sewing a Friendship #2, and currently 400 copies of these books have sold so far. The series has also won seven prestigious national awards.

She is also the illustrator for the children's book Rainbow and the Fashionistas which was written by Natalie's good friend Emily Neels.

Natalie has also designed a coloring book based on the extraordinary drawings and life lessons found in the Sewing a Friendship books and Rainbow and the Fashionistas.

In addition to being a prolific young author and illustrator, Natalie studies acting and speaks publicly at various venues in Southern California.  Her inspirational message encourages other children to follow their own dreams.
